Mandate Freedom

If you told me months ago that we'd be looking at Canada to show the way, I'd be incredulous at best.  But here we are...

The Freedom Convoy of Canadian truckers is on the precipice of breaking leftist authoritarianism.  Their infectious courage has inspired peaceful protests here in the USA, Australia, France, and several other countries.

We've been suffering under covid restrictions, mandates, lockdowns, masks, vaccine passports, and all sorts of lies, corruption, and actual fascism (when government and big business work together to disenfranchise the people).

Take the red-pill of populism, liberty, and freedom.  Embrace tradition; reject modernity.  This is the way!

Have a great weekend,

VS

p.s. Check out the new PDF for Cha'alt: Chartreuse Shadows.  If you're available, we hope you'll game with us at VENGER CON this July in Madison, WI.

  2. The leftards at the BBC have started referring to them as 'the self-styled "Freedom" convoy'.

    1. Yeah, that idiotic prick Jim Acosta said "the so-called Freedom Convoy". I bet that word, "freedom" sticks in their leftoid craw!

  3. Unbelievable! I keep thinking Im actually in a coma and one day I will wake up and find the last two years in Bizarro world have just been a bad dream!
When I was a little kid my family went to the Smithsonian and the Washington mall. There was a statue of Jefferson down there (by the gods I hope its still there) that had a quote by him engraved on the base:"The price of Freedom is eternal vigilance"
That was almost 50 years ago and I have never forgotten. 😔

  4. And let's get that universal health care thing, too!

    1. Hey, if we can do it responsibly without a crushing tax burden on the middle class and without a significant drop in care, I'm on board.

When Republicans take over the government, I'll suggest it. Democrats can't do anything without shooting themselves in the foot. Case in point, free meth and crack pipes to minorities because "racial equity". Lol

    2. Having seen military "health" "care" and the VA system, I want nothing to do with "free" government managed healthcare.

Have people really learned nothing from the last two years?

  5. I dunno, man. 85% of the truckers in Canada got a full shot of vaccination if they do cross-border routes. What is the motivation of the 15% not to? The "cause" has devolved into a hodgepodge of other causes. And what was that Nazi flag doing in the demonstration? Was it literally a "false flag" operation?
Health mandates have been allowed by law for over 100 years (Jacobson v. Massachusetts, 1905), allowing mandatory vaccination. Truckers will have to drive 88 miles per hour and jump into the past with their rigs to fix that one!
I've said it before: more and more of our world crises are scientific crises, and in a scientific crisis, there are only two kinds of people: scientists, and people who are like 3-year-old toddlers scientifically, not knowing the scientific equivalent of cross-walks and traffic-lights. They will get into no end of trouble if their "democratic" impulses are allowed free rein!

    1. Well, I strongly disagree with being subject to "the experts". Their desire for control over my life is like me being in charge of your leisure time because I'm a gaming expert. 4 hours of Crimson Dragon Slayer D20 and Cha'alt every week or you can't earn a living and participate in society.

  6. It's nice to see people wake up (not to be confused with being "woke") and disconnect from the Matrix.
I want my freedom to be real steak and not be fed a bunch of code.
(Incidentally, the new Matrix movie is, by all opinions that I value, horrible. There's a parallel and a parable there as well. I still like analogies based on the original movies though.)
To address the science of the vaccine, I just want to point out that the whole "stop the spread" through vaccination dogma turned out to be false. Vaccinations only reduced severity. All the lockdowns did was to stop the spread a mere fraction of a percent, yet did irreparable harm to economies, livelihood and more importantly, children. Even now in my state, children are the only ones being mandated to wear masks and still being required to vaccinate. The efficacy of the masks were already shot down too. Plus my son, who is special nerds, is still deprived of some of the services he needs due to this bioterrorism incident, the hysteria it caused and the governmental machinations that were allowed by it.
Why are we still subscribing to this nonsense?
I got vaccinated. My son and father were vaccinated and still got COVID. All of my friends and their families who were vaccinated - got COVID. Some more than once, despite taking every reasonable precaution.
Enough already. If some people still want to wear masks while alone in their vehicles, that's on them. Personally, I'm done with the COVID Bogeyman.
Stop the "emergency," stop the "emergency powers" of self-serving assheads.

  7. So January 31st you make a post fired up about how you have to talk about politics again instead of blogging about gaming and on February 12 you make an unsolicited political post.

    Makes sense.

    2. That last post you referred to I felt I had to address it. Regarding the Freedom Convoy blog post, I wanted to raise awareness. This could be the most important protest of our lifetime! If you support freedom in North America, you should support the truckers.

  8. That's a fair point. Im guilty of venting too. Maybe we should all stick to talking about the hobby that gives us nice escapist fantasy to indulge in.
My group has to shelf political discussion sometimes or we'd never get anything done.
